The project Mapping Injury: The embodied, sociocultural, and material sites of political emergence is a five-year research project, selected for the European Research Council Advanced, funded by the UKRI Frontier Research Grant, as part of the Horizon Europe Guarantee.

The project investigates ‘injury’ in its multiple manifestations, focusing on four countries in the Global South, namely, Colombia, Lebanon, Nigeria and South Africa. The aim is to unravel the relationship between harms experienced by communities, the emergence of political agency and resistance, and the mechanisms, local and global, mobilised towards reparation and other forms of response.
